in Dancing Tiger classes is on learning to love and accept your self
regardless of your age, size or shape. To forget the outside world for an
hour or so each week and just enjoy being a woman.

TO BELLY DANCE - MONDAY NIGHT 6:00 - 7:00pm
This is a
two semester course exploring various styles, movements and props used in
modern Bellydance. Upon completing his course students will move on to the
Elementary Bellydance classes.
BELLYDANCE DANCE CLASSES - MONDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHTS 7:30 - 8:30pm
THURSDAY DAY CLASS FROM
identification, use of props, body movement and basic cheoreograpies with the
option to perform in Dancing Tiger concerts held twice per year. You can stay
in this class forever! Great for women who'd like a little stress relief but
don't want to seriously study the art. Performing is entirely up to you!
AND TECHNIQUE - TUESDAY 6:30 - 7:30pm and 7:30 - 8:30pm
invitation only classes which focuses on performance, technique and
choreography along with rhythm/instrument idenification, interpretation, and
style differentiation. We also look at folkloric dances as well as Dance
Oriental. These troupes regualary perform at community events, halfas and at
our own concerts.
TIGERS (GYPSY CARAVAN FORMAT) - WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 7:30 - 8:30pm

the ancient ritualistic feeling of being in a circle of women, feet stepping
to mesmerising repetitive movements and the flow of grace between you as you
dance to Tribal Bellydance, blending the ideas of ancient traditions from
around the world with a modern earthy twist. Fast and exciting, slow and
mesmerizing, bring dancers together with a technique focused on mastering
group improvisation skills within the Gypsy Caravan Tribal dance format.
FITNESS CLASS - SATURDAY 8:30 - 9:30am
you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what the Zumba®
program is all about. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow,
Latin-inspired, calorie-burning, dance fitness party that's moving millions of
people toward joy and health.
BUMP & GRIND BURLESQUE CLASS - THURSDAY 5:30 - 6:30pm
been bitten by the Burlesque bug? Learn the art of the tease at Dancing
Tiger's new Beginners Bump & Grind Burlesque class. At Dancing Tiger, our
burlesque classess do not involve stripping, just smokin' hot dance moves!
Please note: this class is only available to adults over 18 years of age.

HOOP CLASS - TUESDAY 6:30 - 8pm
This is an
eight week beginners course in on and off the body hooping for adults. It's
lots of fun and a whole body workout. This Hula Hooping class also looks at
ways of incorporating dance. No experience necessary!
HOOP CLASS - THURSDAY 5 - 6pm
will be the coolest kid on the block when they break out with their groovin'
hoop moves which they will learn in this super fun class! This beneficial form
of play / exercise will enhance strength, coordination, balance and so much
CLASS - MONDAY 6:30 - 8pm
Hula Hooping class also looks at ways of incorporating dance into your
hooping. Experience in on the body and off the body hooping is essential for
this class. This super fun class is broken up into three sections: Hoop
drills, techniques / flow, and learning choreography.
PRINCIPAL - Rachelle Houston (aka Rakhil or Chilli de Lush)
Houston took over from the school's foundation principal, Idell Wadley in
January 2011. She holds a bachelor of teaching, Suitability for Working With
Children card and CPR/First Aid Certificates. Rachelle has performed at a
number of Major events in QLD and NSW including: Sydney Middle Eastern Dance
Festival, Brisbane Extravaganza, Boonah Arts Spectacular, Ipswich Festivals,
Manning Valley Middle Eastern Dance Festival, Relay for Life and Qld Cancer
Councils Awards Night and, most notably on television's "Australia's Got
Talent" where she was a semi-finalist with Idell Wadley (Rachelle's master
teacher) in the "Cleofatra" act. Rachelle has attended workshops with Amera
Eid, Caroline Evanoff, Lalita Lakshmi, Shekhinah Morgan, Elenie Smith Leonie
Sukan, Mohamed Kazafy, Jamil Halaby, Lubna, Terezka and Ayelet Ashkar to name
a few. She is a very dedicated teacher/ performer who consistently works to
develop her knowledge base and skills.
